The Beauty of Deconstruction

Cooky Maia Casta’s work begins where certainty starts to dissolve.

Structures fracture. Faces shift. Boundaries loosen. What once seemed fixed becomes unstable, opening a space between what has shaped us and what remains when those structures fall away.

Across her work, Casta explores this fragile territory through color, fragmentation and form. The visible and the intimate move into one another: the architecture of the world outside us, the marks carried within, the identities we inherit, resist, lose and reinvent.

There is a tension in these works between fracture and wholeness, constraint and freedom, vulnerability and strength. Yet what breaks is never simply broken. A scar can become a facet. A rupture can catch the light. What appears to be falling apart may, in fact, be revealing another way of being.

From the density of "Urban Jungle" to the shifting geometries of "Unfixed", from the fractured faces of "Abstract Being" to the stillness of "Quiet Within", the work moves gradually inward toward something less defined, less contained, and perhaps more true.

For Casta, deconstruction is not destruction.

It is the moment when what no longer belongs begins to fall away, and something essential is allowed to appear.
